PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Pocono, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, will be accepting sealed bids for the sale of certain real property owned by the Township of Pocono having Monroe County Tax Parcel ID #12.94414; Map #12637100775152, and located on Route 611.  The real property may be subject to easements or other matters of record.

The sealed bids must be delivered to and received by Pocono Township, 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, PA 18372, not later than 3:00 PM, on July 15, 2021.  The sealed bids will be opened and announced at a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, on July 19, 2021, at 7:00 PM at the Pocono Township Municipal Building, 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, PA 18372.  Copies of the “Instructions to Bidders” and “Proposal Form” are available at the Municipal Building during normal business hours and on the Township’s website, www.poconopa.gov.

The Board of Commissioners of Pocono Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids.  The successful bidder must make full payment of the purchase price within sixty (60) days of the award of the bid by the Board of Commissioners of Pocono Township.

Township Manager Pocono Township – Monroe County, Pennsylvania Position Summary Pocono Township, a First Class Township in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and decisive professional to serve as Township Manager. The Township Manager is the chief administrative officer and is responsible for the efficient implementation of policies established by the Board of Commissioners, while ensuring accountability, transparency, and effective municipal operations. Pocono Township is now accepting resumes of volunteers to fill three vacant seats with the Planning Commission. One seat as a member is currently open along with two seats as alternates. The Planning Commission is the first level of review regarding new plan submissions under consideration prior to being recommended to the Board of Commissioners for Resolution approval. You must be a Pocono Township Full Time Resident and available the Second and Fourth Monday of each month for a 6:00 p.m. meeting.
