NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Pocono Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing on March 31, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at the Pocono Township Municipal Building, 205 Old Mill Road, Suite 2, Tannersville, Pennsylvania 18372.
The hearing concerns an application filed by Robert Baxter, on behalf of Gateway Equities LLC, regarding property located at 2177–2185 Route 611, Swiftwater, Pocono Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, identified as Monroe County Tax Parcel Nos. 12.6A.4.1.2 and 12.6A.4.1.3, and located in the Commercial (C) Zoning District. The Applicant requests a dimensional variance from the off-street parking requirements of § 470-34 of the Pocono Township Zoning Ordinance. Section 470-34 requires a minimum of 32 off-street parking spaces for the existing commercial uses on the property. The Applicant requests approval to permit 24 parking spaces while a portion of the site is occupied by an existing on-lot septic system and approximately 30 parking spaces following connection of the property to public sewer.
The Zoning Hearing Board will hear testimony and receive evidence from the Applicant and from other persons as permitted by law.
The complete application is available for public inspection at the Pocono Township Municipal Building during regular business hours at the address listed above. The hearing is open to the public. Persons affected by the application who have legal standing may appear and participate.
