LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Pocono Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, will consider for adoption at a Public Meeting to be held at 6:00 p.m. on the 8th day of September, 2026, at the Pocono Township Municipal Building, 205 Old Mill Rd, Tannersville, Pennsylvania 18372 (the “Municipal Building”), an Ordinance amending the Pocono Township Code of Ordinances, Part II General Legislation; adding a new Chapter 290 Public Trust and Government Transparency, establishing a policy of open government and transparency; limiting the authority of Township Officials to enter into certain confidentiality agreements relating to Official Township Business; providing limited exceptions; establishing official policy of the Township, and repealing all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances inconsistent therewith. Copies of the proposed Ordinance are available for review at the Municipal Building, during normal business hours.
