TAKE NOTICE that the Pocono Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing
on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 beginning at 5:00 P.M., at the Pocono Township Municipal
Building, 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, Pennsylvania 18372. The purpose of the hearing is
to consider the application of Pocono Premium Outlets for dimensional variances to construct
four updated signs. In order to construct the new signs, the Applicant seeks relief from the
following sections of the Pocono Township Zoning Ordinance: (1) 470-108(A)(1), which limits
freestanding signs to 50 SF in gross surface area; (2) 470-108(A)(3), which prohibits freestanding
signs with less than three feet of open space between the ground and lower edge or exceeding
15 feet in height; and (3) 470-109.1, which requires signs to be set back at least five feet from
the future road right-of-way. The existing signs were permitted by a prior variance that the
Applicant wants to modify.
The Application relates to two parcels at the property located in the Commercial (C)
zoning district at 1000 Premium Outlets Drive, Tannersville, PA 18372: Parcel ID Nos. 12.113656
and The property is owned by Chelsea Pocono Finance, LLC.
The complete application is available for inspection (without charge) or copying (for
actual copying costs) at the Township’s office at the address listed above from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. Anyone may attend the hearing and those who are affected and have legal standing may
