NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TAKE NOTICE that the Pocono Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing
on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 beginning at 5:00 P.M., at the Pocono Township Municipal
Building, 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, Pennsylvania 18372. The purpose of the hearing is
to consider the application of Jimmy A. Schlier for a use variance from §470-17 of the Pocono
Township Zoning Ordinance, which lists the uses that are permitted by right, by conditional use,
and by special exception in Pocono Township’s low density residential (R-1) zoning district.
Applicant desires to operate a bed and breakfast on the property.
Jimmy A. Schlier owns the subject property, which is located at 245 Cherry Lane Road in
Pocono Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The property is further identified as Parcel ID
# 12.7.1.42-3 and Map # 12-6372-00-86-6469, and is located in the R-1 zoning district.
The complete application is available for inspection (without charge) or copying (for
actual copying costs) at the Township’s office at the address listed above from 7:30 a.m. to 5
p.m. Anyone may attend the hearing and those who are affected and have legal standing may
