NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TAKE NOTICE that the Pocono Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing
on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 beginning at 5:30 P.M., at the Pocono Township Municipal
Building, 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, Pennsylvania 18372. The purpose of the hearing is
to consider the appeal of Khalid Mashriqi from the Zoning Officer’s August 4, 2022 denial of an
application for change of use from an existing single-family residence to a transient dwelling
use. In the alternative, Appellant also seeks a variance from §302-6 of the Pocono Township
Code of Ordinances, which requires a property owner to obtain a “TDU license” before using a
property for a transient dwelling use.
Khalid Mashriqi owns the subject property, which is located at 386 Camelback Road in
Pocono Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The property is further identified as Parcel ID
# 12.16.1.33-1 and Map # 12-6363-00-14-6444. The property is located partially in the low
density residential (R-1) district and partially in the commercial (C) district.
The complete application is available for inspection (without charge) or copying (for
actual copying costs) at the Township’s office at the address listed above from 7:30 a.m. to 5
p.m. Anyone may attend the hearing and those who are affected and have legal standing may
